JavaScript Job: Full Stack Developer

Company Description:
Scrapp is a start-up dedicated to making recycling simple. Through our mobile app and hardware solutions we provide product and location-specific recycling guidance. We provide services to municipalities, corporate offices, businesses, and brands. What we are looking to do is expand our technical team during our fundraising round to meet the demand of our clients. These contracts have the potential to turn into full-time employment once the contract has concluded.

Full Stack - Full Time - Contractor - 6 Month Contract

Qualifications:

Hard Skills:

• Preferred degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent certification
• 1-2 years of full-time development experience
• Flutter & Dart front-end, Node.js, Express, and Typescript backend

- SQL knowledge is a plus
- React & TypeScript knowledge is a plus
- Firebase knowledge is a plus
- FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) knowledge is a plus

• Familiarity with version control tools like GIT and IDEs like Android Studio, VS Code etc.
• Good Understanding of complex state management

Soft Skills:

• Quick learner with the ability to pivot projects and technologies for new and existing projects
• Experience in Agile team
• Experience in a remote software development environment
• Strong communication skills
• Self-starter and ability to work independently

Responsibilities:

• avg. 40 hours per week required. Flexible working hours (choose when you work: 7-3,8-4,9-5, etc.)
• Feature development for Flutter mobile application including creating server-side API
• Communicating with project leads to implement the objectives. Twice weekly company standup meetings. (Once weekly tech department standup meeting)
• Code Review from team members
• Ability to work with and without deadlines in a very fast-paced environment
